  • Human Resources Administrator

    Human Resources Administrator General Description:

    Employees within Professional Pavement Services are responsible for their quality of work. This is done through training and established systems to assist all personnel to achieve the company standards required.


    As the human resources administrator (here out will be referred to as the HR administrator), you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization’s human resources plans in ways that support the company’s mission, values, and overall strategy.


    The HR administrator will prove to be a true leader, strategic thinker, and effective problem solver, and display strong managerial skills. The bulk of the role will involve employee recruitment and orientations, benefits administration, and conflict resolution with great opportunity for developing and refining procedures and creating efficiencies. We’re eager to find a human resources manager who connects easily with people and has a detail-oriented mindset for handling the dynamic nature of today’s workforce.


    Human Resources Administrator Job Responsibilities:


    • Develop positive relationships with employees
    • Act as the point of contact and handle employees’ individual needs within company discretion
    • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to employees in a timely manner
    • Develop strategic HR plans and policies (recruitment, training, compensation, etc.)

     Human Resources Administrator Qualifications/Skills:


    • Able to work well on and lead a team
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Proven experience as HR administrator or other leader HR role
    • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, etc.)
    • Knowledge of local, state, and international labor law
    • Working knowledge of MS Office and HR software
    • Aptitude in communicating and public speaking
    • Well-organized with excellent leadership qualities
    • BSc/BA in business, HR, social science, or related field; MSc/MA/MBA is preferable
    • Certification (e.g. PHR/SPHR) is preferred
  • Concrete Foreman

    Concrete Foreman General Description:


    As a concrete foreman, you will be responsible for the supervision of a team of concrete laborers and finishers. You will be responsible for overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.


    Concrete Foreman Job Responsibilities:


    • Communicate effectively with account manager, team leaders, and crew members to lead the team to success
    • Correctly interpret blueprints, plans, and drawings
    • Divide concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluate how much labor and materials are required for each job stage
    • Consult blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installed
    • Maintain accurate records of all material and equipment that were used on-site with all records and receipts to be kept organized by job in “work order traveler”
    • Initial daily job report (work order) daily or per phase of the job
    • Resolve all problems that may affect project quality and completion
    • Delegate tasks to concrete laborers and provide overall guidance
    • Ensure that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering designs and drawings
    • Inspect concrete after the formwork and shoring has been removed and instruct concrete laborers on how to correct defects and concrete roughness
    • Participate in and lead “Failure Analysis” reports for continuous growth and improvement and to eliminate any recurring issues and/or sub-standard performance
    • Ensure team is compliant with all OSHA standards and safety specifications with Toolbox Talks topics to be reviewed and signed off before job commencement
    • Ensure job site is well maintained and cleaned at the end of the workday
    • Assist with on-the-job training of on-site concrete personnel
    • Assist in performance evaluations of concrete trade personnel
    • Assist in maintenance efforts, prevent abuse of all company equipment, and report misuse/abuse to immediate supervisor
    • Hold crew accountable for high-quality work standards, attendance, and professionalism and ensure the team is always representing the company through our core values of teamwork, integrity, pride, and quality
    • Arrive to your assigned job on time, clock into the specific job using the appropriate software, and clock out when you are finished for the day using the appropriate software
    • Starting and ending times vary within departments and job locations, and there may be times when it will be your responsibility to ensure that crew members are clocking in and out of the specific job site correctly
    • Routinely interact with clients by way of introduction during project commencement, answering all customer questions and requests, and providing a walk-through during project closeout

  • Concrete Finisher and Laborer

    Concrete Finisher/Laborer General Description:


    As a concrete finisher or laborer, you will be responsible for participating in activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.


    Concrete Laborer Job Responsibilities:


    • Communicate effectively with foreman, team members, and any other personnel influencing your job
    • Be familiar with OSHA and company safety requirements and always ensure adherence to these protocols
    • Pour, spread, and smooth concrete mixtures to match the given specifications
    • Design and set up forms, ensuring all forms are properly constructed
    • Spread, level, and smooth concrete using various hand or power tools and equipment
    • Mold expansion joints and edges as per specifications/instructions
    • Initial daily job report (work order) for any portion of the job that you are responsible for the completion of
    • Clear the worksite of any stones, debris, and equipment before and after work
    • Maintain accurate records of all material and equipment that were used on-site with all records and receipts kept organized by job in “work order traveler”
    • Initial daily job report (work order) daily or per phase of the job
    • Resolve all problems that may affect project quality and completion
    • Participate in all safety training including Toolbox Talks that are to be performed before project commencement
    • Ensure job site is well-maintained and cleaned at the end of the workday with all equipment, material, or personal belongings to be removed from the job site before daily departure
    • Assist in maintenance efforts, prevent abuse of all company equipment, and report misuse/abuse to immediate supervisor
    • Arrive to your assigned job on time, clock into the specific job using the appropriate software, and clock out when you are finished for the day using the appropriate software with starting and ending times varying within departments and job locations
    • Complete any other duties as assigned by foreman or immediate supervisor
  • Construction and Special Projects Manager

    Construction and Special Projects Manager General Description:


    As the construction and special projects manager, you will be responsible for managing construction work orders and ensuring they are completed to customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the overall success and management of several construction and special project crews simultaneously.


    Construction and Special Projects Manager Responsibilities:


    • Prioritize, delegate, and perform all work placing safety first in all things
    • Communicate effectively with account manager, operations manager, and crew foreman to lead team(s) to success.
    • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities for multiple special project/construction crews
    • Divide special projects into different stages by evaluating the amount of labor and material required per phase of the job
    • Maintain accurate records of all material and equipment that has been used on-site, keep records and receipts maintained by foreman per job, and ensure the foreman is maintaining these records
    • Initial daily job report (work order) per completed phase of the job
    • Review work orders performed by supervised crews
    • Resolve all problems that may affect project quality and completion
    • Delegate tasks and assignments to construction foreman and laborers and provide overall guidance to the crews
    • Utilize construction quality control measures
    • Participate and lead “Failure Analysis” reports for continuous growth and improvement for all construction/special projects crews
    • Ensure construction department is maintaining safety and OSHA compliance
    • Ensure we are participating in safety meetings, Toolbox Talks, and all MSDS for all material, equipment, and tasks performed on-site
    • Perform on-the-job training of on-site special projects/construction personnel
    • Perform performance evaluations for special projects/construction personnel
    • Assist in maintenance efforts and prevent abuse of all company equipment and report all misuse/abuse to immediate supervisor
    • Assist crews with clocking in and out of their specified job site(s) using the appropriate software while becoming familiarized and able to navigate the software yourself
    • Routinely interact with clients by way of introduction during project commencement, answering all customer questions and requests, and providing walk-throughs during project closeout
    • Operate a diverse line of equipment including but not limited to excavator, dozer, paving machine, and roller
    • Hold special projects/construction foreman accountable for the quality of work performed
    • Maintain project effectiveness, productivity, and systems compliance and adjusting as necessary
    • Prepare project closeouts collaborating with account manager and project foreman

  • Construction Foreman

    Construction Foreman General Description:


    As a construction foreman, you will be responsible for managing construction/special projects work orders and ensuring they are completed to customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing the overall success and management of several construction projects simultaneously.

    Mow Crew Member General Description:


    As a mow crew member, you will be responsible for the daily, weekly appearance of the customer’s property. You will be responsible for mowing, string trimming, pulling weeds, and pruning with great precision and business-minded efficiency.


    Mow Crew Member Job Responsibilities:


    • Everyday duties include mowing, edging, string trimming, weeding, and leaf removal
    • Maintain productivity so that jobs come in at or under man-hour budgets
    • Report vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair needs
    • Accurately record hours per job in TSheets
    • Deliver completed work that meets or exceeds company standards and common industry standards
    • Consistently arrive to work on time
  • Sealcoating Laborer

    Sealcoating Laborer General Description:


    As a commercial and/or residential sealcoating laborer, you will be responsible for sealing and repairing commercial and/or residential lots.


    Sealcoating Laborer Job Responsibilities:


    • Communicate effectively with foreman, team members, and any other personnel influencing your job
    • Familiar with OSHA and company safety requirements and always ensure adherence to these protocols
    • Safely apply the crack fill material with the use of crack kettle and/or pushcart applicators
    • Safely apply the sealcoat material with the use of spray wands, squeegee, and machines
    • Verify all applications are being applied to the company and customer standards
    • Properly shut down all equipment when the job is complete
    • Ensure all tools have been collected and securely fastened in trucks/trailers
    • Initial daily job report (work order) for any portion of the job that you are responsible for the completion of
    • Clear the worksite of any stones, debris, and equipment before and after work
    • Maintain accurate records of all material and equipment that were used on-site with all records and receipts to be kept organized by job in “work order traveler”
    • Initial daily job report (work order) daily or per phase of the job
    • Resolve all problems that may affect project quality and completion
    • Participate in all safety training including Toolbox Talks that are to be performed before project commencement
    • Ensure job site is well-maintained and cleaned at the end of the workday with all equipment, material, or personal belongings to be removed from the job site before daily departure
    • Assist in maintenance efforts, prevent abuse of all company equipment, a report misuse/abuse to immediate supervisor
